Saracen landing

On 27th July, Laigueglia becomes the location for the historical production in costumes known as the landing of the Saracen at the town dock, a historical event happened in the XVI century. The battle represents the local people fighting against the Turkish invaders on the seashore. The splendour of the costumes increases the realism of this production, even if there is no risk for the actors. In fact, enemies fight using foam filled balls. Drumbeats create the right atmosphere and the old Bastione of Laigueglia, built in 1500 to protect the town from the enemies’ attacks, is the frame in a night full of history that will charm both adults and children.
